| Blood Alcohol Concentration Calculation You are a male and weigh 180 lbs. You have selected an elimination rate of 10 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood per hour. You had 3 drinks beginning on 9/14/2006 at 7:00 PM. You began drink 1 [Beer (5%, 12 oz or 341 ml)] at 7:00 PM. You began drink 2 [Beer (5%, 12 oz or 341 ml)] at 7:15 PM. You began drink 3 [Beer (5%, 12 oz or 341 ml)] at 7:30 PM. You finished your last drink on 9/14/2006 at 7:45 PM. Your BAC on 9/14/2006 at 8:30 PM will be 57 (mgs of alcohol per 100 ml of blood). Most beer is under 5% alcohol, not to mention your rate of alcohol elimination could well be much higher than 10 mg / hour - depending on stuff. That being said .057 could still earn you a ticket, just not a full blown DUI.
